Nusantara Data Center Academy Conducts Data Center Socialization with ATMI Polytechnic

Continuing the cooperation agreement held with ATMI Polytechnic which was held on June 20, 2024, Nusantara Data Center Academy (NDCA) held a socialization at ATMI Polytechnic Cikarang on July 12, 2024. This socialization was carried out for students of the Mechatronics Technology and Industrial Machinery study program at ATMI Polytechnic Cikarang.

This activity aims to provide a basic understanding of the Data Center Industry and guide participants in the industrial class registration process, as provisions before entering the new academic semester in September 2024.

Understanding Data Centers for ATMI Polytechnic Students

The socialization at ATMI Cikarang Polytechnic was divided into two sessions. The first session was presented by Harry Haryadi, one of the facilitators of the Data Center Industry Class who explained in depth about the initial understanding of Data Centers. The material presented in this presentation includes the definition of Data Center, its types, available facilities, Data Center service providers, cloud computing, and Data Center tier levels. In this presentation, he also conveyed several roles of Data Centers that occur in everyday life.

Data Center Development in Indonesia

The second presentation was delivered by Nawi Jaya, one of the facilitators of the Data Center Industry Class. He explained about the Development of Indonesian Data Centers and explained in detail the various positions available in this sector, as well as the challenges in developing human resources. Nawi also highlighted the great potential and job opportunities in the Bekasi, Cikarang, and Karawang areas as the main destinations for the Data Center Industry in Indonesia, making ATMI Polytechnic a strategic location to hold this socialization.

Industrial Class Participant Registration Flow Process

In addition to providing a basic understanding of the Data Center Industry, this socialization also provides a complete guide to the industrial class registration process. Lutfan as the Curriculum Development of the Nusantara Data Center Academy (NDCA) explained in detail the registration steps, starting from participant requirements to the online registration flow. The presentation provides information about the competencies to be obtained, the learning methods to be applied, and the benefits obtained by participants in this industrial class.

Conclusion

The collaboration between Nusantara Data Center Academy (NDCA) and ATMI Cikarang Polytechnic through this socialization is an initial step to prepare the talent needs in the Data Center Industry in Indonesia. This activity, which is specifically intended for Mechatronics and Industrial Machinery Engineering students, aims to provide a basic understanding of Data Centers and guide the industrial class registration process. With the presentation from Harry Haryadi and Nawi Jaya, as well as a comprehensive registration guide, it is hoped that this socialization can encourage students’ interest in pursuing a career in the Data Center field and provide a positive contribution to the development of the industry in Indonesia.
