NDCA Graduates 54 Data Center Professionals, 70% Already Employed or in Job Placement Process

Jakarta, June 20, 2026 – Nusantara Data Center Academy (NDCA) reaffirmed its commitment to developing Indonesia’s data center workforce by graduating 54 participants from the Vocational Industry Program Batch 2 during a Graduation Ceremony held in Jakarta on June 20, 2026.

The graduates represented eight vocational high schools and higher education institutions that completed the six-month industry-based training program. Designed to bridge the gap between education and industry, the program combines technical training, professional certifications, soft skills development, and direct On-the-Job Training (OJT) with leading data center companies across Indonesia.

By the end of the program, 70% of graduates had secured employment or were already in the job placement process within the data center industry, reflecting the growing demand for skilled professionals as Indonesia’s digital infrastructure ecosystem continues to expand.

Erick Hadi, Founder of Nusantara Data Center Academy, emphasized that the biggest challenge in developing Indonesia’s data center workforce lies not in the availability of talent, but in aligning education with industry needs.

"The biggest challenge in developing data center talent in Indonesia is not the availability of talent itself, but the alignment between education and industry. Indonesia has a young and capable workforce, yet the education system has not evolved at the same pace as the data center industry.

Most graduates have a solid theoretical foundation, but data centers require operational readiness, from power systems and cooling infrastructure to uptime discipline, safety culture, and incident response. These competencies can only be developed through hands-on industry experience, not classroom learning alone," said Erick Hadi.

During the graduation ceremony, NDCA also recognized outstanding achievements by participants and industry partners.

The Best Graduate Award was presented to Chandra Hady Winata from SMKN 1 Cikarang Selatan, who demonstrated exceptional academic performance, technical competencies, and professionalism throughout the program.

One of Chandra’s most memorable learning experiences was participating in a classroom session on Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), where he gained practical insights into optimizing energy efficiency in data center operations. Combined with his On-the-Job Training experience, the program provided first-hand exposure to real industry standards and operational practices beyond theoretical learning.

NDCA also presented the Best OJT Partner Award to DCI Indonesia for its contribution in providing high-quality industry learning experiences for participants. The Best Facilitator Award was presented to Jarot Purwoko from Socomec Indonesia in recognition of his dedication and commitment to supporting participants throughout the program.

The Vocational Industry Program Batch 2 involved eight vocational education institutions:

  • Takumi Polytechnic
  • Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Informasi NIIT (I-Tech)
  • SMK Budi Perkasa
  • SMK Perguruan Cikini KIIC
  • SMKN 1 Cikarang Pusat
  • SMKN 1 Cikarang Selatan
  • SMKN 9 Bekasi
  • SMK Taruna Bhakti

As part of the industry’s work-based learning approach, participants completed On-the-Job Training (OJT) at leading data center and digital infrastructure companies, including:

  • DCI Indonesia
  • BDx Indonesia
  • Indodata
  • Digital Edge Indonesia
  • K2 Strategic
  • Bitera
  • Area31
  • Princeton Digital Group (PDG)
  • Pure DC
  • NeutraDC

These industry placements enabled participants to gain first-hand experience with operational standards, workplace culture, and the real-world challenges faced by data center operators.

The Vocational Industry Program Batch 2 was made possible through collaboration between Nusantara Data Center Academy, vocational education institutions, government agencies, industry facilitators, data center companies serving as On-the-Job Training partners, and various industry collaborators, partners, and supporters committed to developing Indonesia’s future data center workforce.

The graduation ceremony was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, the Bekasi Regency Government, the Karawang Regency Government, vocational education institutions, data center companies, facilitators, media representatives, and other stakeholders committed to strengthening Indonesia’s digital talent ecosystem.
