MoU Signing

On 11th August 2023, a significant agenda in the Nusantara Data Center & Cloud Summit 2023 event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BSPDM Kominfo, the Indonesian Data Center Providers Association – IDPRO, and Nusantara Data Center Academy. This MoU marked the initial step towards cross-organization collaboration with the goal of addressing the urgent need for skilled, competent, and certified workforce in Data Centers. The collaboration aimed to nurture new talents ready to actively contribute to Indonesia’s digital transformation journey.

Background

The scarcity of data center experts continues to occur in the Southeast Asia region, including Indonesia. This can result in obstacles and unhealthy competition in the data center industry.

Nusantara Academy, as a strategic partner of IDPRO, collaborates with the Directorate of Research and Development of the Ministry of Communication and Information to deliver a specialized education program for Data Center experts, supporting the government’s strategic initiatives in this field.

Founder of Nusantara Academy – Erick Hadi, IDPRO Chairman – Hendra Suryakusuma, and Head of Research and Development of the Ministry of Communication and Information – Dr. Eng. Hary Budiarto M.Kom, signed a joint agreement to present education in the field of data center expertise at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, at the Nusantara Data Center & Cloud Summit 2023 event.

Through the MoU, a collaboration was formed to produce quality talents in the data center industry who can immediately work in data center facilities in Indonesia.

Participants will receive training and education at the Nusantara Academy and receive competency certification from the Ministry of Communication and Information according to the existing SKKNI category.
